1. Our gemstones and descriptions

Every gemstone is natural unless its description says otherwise. We describe each piece as accurately as we can, including any treatment we know of. Gemstones are natural materials: colours can look slightly different on screens and under different light, and measurements and weights are given to the precision shown. Where a piece has an independent laboratory report, the report's findings prevail.

2. Prices

Prices are in US dollars (USD). Shipping is calculated at checkout from your delivery address and shown before you pay, as is any promo code discount. Import duties and taxes charged by your country are not included (see Shipping & returns). If a price is shown in error, we will contact you before dispatch and you may cancel for a full refund.

3. Orders

Your order is an offer to buy. When you place it, the pieces are reserved for you; the contract is formed when we confirm your payment by email. Unique pieces are one of a kind: if a piece becomes unavailable before your payment is confirmed, we will tell you and refund anything you have paid.

4. Payment

• Bank transfer: pay within 72 hours using your order number as the reference. Orders not paid in time are cancelled automatically.
• Card or mobile money (Pesepay), card (Stripe) and Paynow, where offered at checkout: payment is taken when you complete it on the provider's page. Orders not paid within one hour are cancelled automatically.

We do not see or store your card details.

5. Delivery

We ship once payment is confirmed, to the address you give at checkout. Delivery estimates come from the carrier and are not guaranteed. Responsibility for the piece passes to you on delivery.

6. Returns and cancellations

You may return a piece within 14 days of delivery under the conditions in our Shipping & returns policy. You can cancel an order before it is shipped by contacting us; anything you have paid will be refunded.

7. Our responsibility

If a piece is faulty or not as described, we will repair, replace or refund it. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable when you ordered, or for damage caused by normal wear, accidents, or cleaning methods our care advice warns against. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer.

8. Website content

The photographs, descriptions and guide articles on this website belong to VA Blue Gems or are used with permission, and may not be copied for commercial use without our written consent.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Zimbabwe. If you live elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country.
